Super Mario Bros. 3 Arguably the greatest game of all time, Super Mario Bros. 3 set the stage for side-scrolling adventure games.

Once again, we guide that chubby little plumber, Mario, through skillfully made levels ranging from underwater caverns to levels filled with fiery lava.

ROM in the Spotlight - Contra

Contra is a 2D side-scrolling shoot-em-up game for the Nintendo (NES). Blast your way through aliens and enemies with a wide variety of weapons.

While the game is really fun to play with one player, it's famous for it's two-player mode. This game has a very high replay value and is highly addictive and quite challenging. There is also a code that let's you start with 30 lives if you want to take that route.
